HP Laptop Model Numbers Leak Out, HP Mini 311 With Nvidia Ion and Mini 210 Found

Even though there is no proof behind the latest leak of upcoming HP laptop model numbers, in the picture above you will find one of the two new netbooks from HP. In the picture above, you’ll see the HP Mini 311 and the list goes on and you’ll also find the HP Mini 210 – on the same list found here. As of right now, we know nothing about these new netbooks and we don’t even know if they exist. We’ll just have to wait and see what goes on for the next couple of weeks.

Update on September 7th: According to Netbooked, the HP Mini 311 could have: an 11.6-inch display, an Intel Atom 1.6GHz N270 CPU, Nvidia Ion graphics, 1GB of RAM, a 160GB HDD, WiFi 802.11 b/g, Bluetooth support, Windows XP, an HDMI port, and a 6-cell battery.

LG Shows Off 15-Inch Possibly MacBook Bound OLED Displays

LG has just unveiled their 15-inch OLED display. The best part here is that this could be the same OLED display that LG could be dishing out for Apple to use. We heard rumours about this back in March (here) and in early August (here), but they are just rumours right now. The good thing is that MacBook Pros from Apple may be the first laptops out there with an OLED display; the bad news here is, of course, going to be the price. Apple notebooks are already expensive as it is, add in the rumoured Blu-ray drive and this rumoured OLED display and then you’re definitely looking into $4,000 to $5,000 USD.

Motorola "Caesar" Testing Windows Mobile 7 Beta?

According to the latest leak from a Motorola software engineer they are working on a device codenamed “Caesar” and it’s going to be running on the Windows Mobile 7 beta. Looks like WinMo 7 could be out in mid-2010 and not Q4 2010 like we heard two weeks ago. Keep in mind that WinMo 7 handsets will have a minimum requirement on their phones which is great news for the consumer.

Samsung Shows Off 6mm Thin LED-Sidelit TV

At IFA, Samsung decided to show off their “proof of concept” TV, which measured in at 6mm thin. Samsung was able to do this using side-lit LED technology. Samsung mentioned that this side-lit LED TV will be hitting the shelves sometime next year (2010). They didn’t mention a price though, but it shouldn’t cheap.

Is Twitter Being Overexposed By the Media?

After seeing this on Crunch Gear, that’s what I asked myself. Basically, Fox put a Twitter feed on the bottom of the screen during a show called Fringe. Most people ended up complaining and I don’t see why not. Why would you ruin a TV show by putting a Twitter feed on the bottom of the screen? Maybe in the future we’ll be able to make this kind of thing optional with TVs with Internet built-in. Twitter gets a lot of positive media and I hope that they don’t get overexposed by the media.

In related news, Twitter should also clean up all of the spammers that have been on the rise lately.

Samsung S3650 Corby Launching This Month As the Samsung Genio

At IFA, Samsung showed off the S3650 Corby and they also announced that they will be launching the said handset as the Samsung Genio. “This last-minute change is clearly down to the Korean phone maker realizing that in the UK ‘Corby’ is an industrial town in Northamptonshire, not quite the right image for an on-trend consumer electronics device.” This mid-end touchscreen based handset is still expected to launch in the middle of this month in a couple of colours.
