Intel Shows Off Moblin 2.1 At IDF, Perfect For Multi-Tasking On Mobile Phones

Like we heard last week, Intel has just shown off Moblin v2 – more specifically Moblin 2.1. The good news here is that this new OS is capable of running on most mobile devices, including phones. Engadget got a chance to look at Moblin 2.1 on an unnamed Compal MID and an Acer netbook. But, they weren’t allowed to touch it so that definitely sucks. I guess it was just a preview then.
The Moblin OS will be capable of running on mobile phones and will have social-integration and a “panels-based navigation system” which will allow you to run multiple applications at once. Enjoy two more shots of the new Moblin below.
